The IC enjoyed a very successful and enjoyable trip to Dublin and emerged with a close victory. The plans for the fixture were put in some disarray with the arrival of the volcanic ash cloud and the late withdrawal of one of the IC team yet we all managed to make our way to the Appian Way Club. Particular thanks to Conor McCullough for filling in at the last minute.

 

The travelling team included a couple of Oxford University students (Philippa and Anjoli) who were playing their first IC fixture and acquitted themselves very well on and off the court. The Fitzwilliam Club and their captain Morgan Dunne hosted us in the usual warm manner and we were joined at the dinner by the  Club President Dr. Robin Gibney. As usual a few weary souls made their way back to the UK on the Sunday evening.
