Prentice Cup warm-up...
Result: IC of GB 2 – 7 Harvard & Yale

The IC of GB team of Richard Ground, Rob Searle, James Spooner, David Culshaw, Mark Hadley and Chris Archer/Anton Bettink (injury substitute) competed on the grass courts at Roehampton against a combined Harvard and Yale team who were very sharp ahead of their Prentice Cup match two days later. The overall match score was 7 matches to 2 to Harvard and Yale.

Chris Archer and Anton Bettink had a good win against the Harvard and Yale first pair and James Spooner and David Culshaw beat the second pair.  Richard Ground and Rob Searle had match points in one of their matches but narrowly lost in the final champions tie break. 

David Waite, the IC of GB Chairman, was present at the match along with Barry Weatherill and his wife who were guests of honour. Barry presented the Weatherill Cup after dinner to the American captain Kyle Dawson and gave a great speech on behalf of the IC explaining the history and important work of the IC.
