The IC of GB once again faced the eventual champions in the first round of the Potter Cup, held at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. Last year it was Spain, and this year it was Italy who thwarted the Brits chances of progressing deeper into the tournament. A tough 5-0 loss to a very strong Italian team meant the best place the Brits could finish was 5^th place overall.

A rain soaked start didn’t dampen any spirits though as the team, captained by Graham Neale, went on to beat both Spain B (a select team from the Polo Club and RCT Barcelona) and the IC of Belgium emphatically with back to back 5-0 wins.
