A successful 40th Anniversary IC Uruguay Event The 40th Anniversary event for the IC Uruguay marked a post-pandemic return to IC activity in full swing. The event ran over three days, from Thursday morning 31 March (with a welcome Cocktail party that evening) through Saturday 2 April (with a Closing Dinner). There were five ICs represented - France, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay – and a lot of social tennis involving Women´s and Men´s Doubles and Mixed Doubles and combined players from different ICs. Added to all of this there was a Wheelchair and "Integrated Wheelchair Event" and an impressive presentation of the IC Uruguay´s philanthropy program with IC Philanthropy. A distinguishing feature was the participation of Latin American great former circuit players: Jaime and Alvaro Fillol, from the IC Chile; Vera Cleto, Patricia Medrado, and Joao Soares, from the IC Brazil; Raquel Giscafre, Ricardo Cando, Beatriz Villaverde and Ricardo Rivera, from the IC Argentina; and Fiorella Bonicelli, Marcelo Filipppini, Liliana Rodriguez, Tati Ruiz, Hugo Roverano, and our own Philippe Pinet, from the IC Uruguay. At the closing dinner, IC Uruguay were also able to pay tribute to Ukraine through a gift for the Ukrainian wife of the President of the Uruguayan Paralympic Committee, to convey the thoughts and support of the worldwide IC family.
