This match has been running for over 56 years and brings together 2 pairs in the 45+ age group and 2 pairs in the 60+ age group. This year both Captains (Mike Dawe and Boyd Cuthbertson) selected 8 players each and kept themselves as reserves. Alec Allen representing the ICGB injured himself just before the match. Mike and Boyd agreed to play one match each for the IC of GB. Unlike prior years the weather was kind resulting in a great match in the sun.

A notable feature of this match is the friendly sprit in which it is played with many of the participants looking forward to catching up with friends who they have not seen for a while. We enjoyed a meal by the lake at St George’s after the match. As ever the hospitality shown by St George’s was excellent. Our thanks to Michael Dawe who managed the match on behalf of the SLTC.
