Fixture: IC of GB vs Public School Old Boys LTA

Format: 2 rounds of doubles – Pro Set format 

The IC vs Public School Old Boys (PUBS) fixture took place on Thursday 30th November, after the original planned date was rained off earlier in the summer. This time the fixture was played indoors, to ensure the fixture was completed this calendar year, and the shortened format of pro-sets was implemented to ensure the match was played in the allotted time before the all-important dinner! 

The match was closely contested with some great tennis from both teams, with the PUBS turning out with a current top 300 doubles player. After four close matches the International Club of Great Britain prevailed in a 3-1 victory. As usual the matches were all played in great spirit, and both teams enjoyed a fantastic dinner afterwards at the AELTC. We look forward to the 2024 fixture in the International Club’s hundredth year, and we hope that the weather does not impact the opportunity to play on grass.
