The IC played the IC of Germany at Moor Park over the weekend of the 15th,16th and 17th July 2022.

Starting with a friendly 4 Ball better ball Stableford golf competition on Friday the pairing of Jackie Robinson (IC of GB) and Christopher Rummel (IC of Germany) took first place with 44 points.

On Saturday the IC of Germany Team showed their class on the grass courts taking an unassailable 8-2 lead in the match.

The Official Dinner was held at Moor Park on Saturday evening. The food and service was excellent as always. Following a few words by Match Manager Benson Greatrex, Karin Parringer spoke very eloquently on behalf of the IC of Germany. Alex Kurucz the President of the IC of Germany, who was also the Match Manager, was unfortunately unable to come to England due to contracting Covid – very disappointing for him and his wife Elke who were looking forward to the trip: I am pleased to say that Alex has now fully recovered.

It was also a great pleasure to make Christopher Rummel an Honorary International Member of the IC of GB. Christopher has played against the IC of GB a number of times including IC Week 2019 in Le Touquet, The Wallenberg at Brierley Hill and also in this match.

A big thank you to the IC of GB players who put on a good performance but were outplayed by an outstanding team from the IC of Germany. Thank you also to the IC of Germany Team who were not only very good players but also made it an excellent weekend socially.

The overall result of the match was a 10-3 win for the IC of Germany who regain the Dunlop Trophy after two wins by the IC of GB!
